How To Keep That Spark Alive

November 1, 2017

Perfect relationships just don’t seem to exist. A great relationship takes a lot of work and dedication, especially if you’ve been together for a long time. If you miss that “honeymoon phase” where everything seemed to be so fun and easy, don’t lose faith in your current status. This is the perfect opportunity for you to reignite that fire that the two of you once had for each other. These tips are here for you to keep that spark alive so you and your man can be the couple that everyone looks to for admiration.

Get Out Of The House

Between work and kids, free time just doesn’t seem to exist. But just because your life may be a bit more hectic, it doesn’t mean that you can’t make time for a little one on one time. Call up the baby sitter or set aside your list of errands to take the night off. This is your chance to spend quality time together without any distractions. If your schedule allows it, try to make this a regular thing, at least once every few weeks.

Surprise

Keeping the element of surprise alive is a great way to keep that relationship fresh and exciting. From planning a surprise getaway to even bringing a small gift home just because, any small surprise gesture will make your partner feel loved and thought about. Isn’t that what we all want to feel in the end?

Kiss

Kissing each other seems like such a simple task that should be like second nature. But surprisingly many couples lose the urge to kiss each other after having been together for a long time. Kiss each other hello and goodbye, and dare we say it…make out! Making the effort to go in for the kill by making out will get that feeling back of being young and in love. Remember those days where you’d make out for hours? Making out will get that urge up and anticipation of making love to each other.

Get That Adrenaline Up

Trying something new, especially an activity that will get your blood pumping, will bring back that excitement of being together. From taking a cooking class to going skydiving, learning something new or trying out a new experience will bring the two of you closer. Plus, it will be another great memory to add to the books that the two of you can look back on.

Be Romantic

Just because you’ve been together long enough doesn’t mean the romanticism needs to diminish. Saying the words “I love you” can never be overused, no matter how many times you have said it. Make sure your partner knows how much you love and care for them by actually showing them with actions and words. Overuse “I love you”, plan a special date, cook them dinner with candlelight, or bring them home flowers. There is no need to worry about being too over the top when it comes to confessing your love for one another.

Get Sexy

Chances are your man is all too used to seeing you in your pajamas or sweats. Take this opportunity to spice things up a bit for the night. Get dressed up in a hot little number, throw on some makeup and heels, and take him out for a night on the town. Or if you’re feeling a extra hot, plan a night in and take out your sexy lingerie that’s been sitting in your drawer for way too long. He will go wild for this if it’s certainly out of your ordinary. Remember, confidence makes you that much sexier, so feel confident in your skin and strut your stuff. He’s with you because he loves you and your body.
