If you’re a busy woman, we feel your pain. Between work, classes, relationships, errands, and children, how is there any time to find some “me” time? No matter what your responsibilities are, there should be no excuse for you to not be able to relax and give your life a little balance. We’re here to help you settle things down and find that inner peace amongst all of the chaos that happens throughout the day. Because let’s face it, you deserve it! These tips will help you realize how chaotic your life may be and help you enjoy a much happier and well balanced life.
Unplug
Do you know how much you look down at your phone or gaze at your computer? According to Business Insider, studies have found that people touch their phones an average of 2,617 times a day. Chances are you’re a victim of that. In order to find some balance in your life, we recommend to simply “unplug” during certain hours of the day. Of course there are reasons why you are so attached to your phones such as loved ones far away or work priorities, but that doesn’t mean that you have to have it attached to your hip. Try turning off your phone at dinnertime. If you have kids, this means you should have them turn off all of their electronic devices as well. By unplugging, you are taking away all of the distractions that occur from the outside world throughout the day. You may be surprised at how much more relaxed you will feel once your phone is not able to ring or ding with a new notification every minute. Plus, your eyes will thank you.
Meditate
Meditation is a great practice that can do wonders to your daily life. Find some time each day, whether it’s ten minutes or an hour, to sit in quiet and ease your mind. With this quiet time, you get to step away from the world and all the stress that you have to face each day. Meditation is your chance to evaluate each day, decision, problem, or successful impact that you have had. Without this time, how else would you be able to evaluate how great you really are?
Explore
Take a step back from your daily routine and explore a little. Chances are you make the same steps everyday, take the same route to work, and have your favorite spots to visit in your town each week. Take a walk, go on a hike, or take a weekend trip away. These new adventures will expand your horizons and get you out of your daily routine that you have built up over the years. Enjoy what the world has to offer and see new places, because there is so much more to see!
Learn
Try picking up a new hobby or trade such as learning a new language, picking up a new instrument, or learning how to paint. Any new experience to you will expand your boundaries and make you a well-rounded person. Aside from having more tricks under your belt, learning something new exercises your brain, which is important for your health.
Detox
While detoxing is a very popular thing when it comes to your eating, we’re not talking about going on a juice cleanse. We’re talking about getting rid of all of the toxins, or bad omens, that are weighing you down. If there are people in your life that are a bad influence, whether they are pessimists, addicts, or just plain bring you down, it’s time for you to get rid of them. Each day that they impact your life for the worse, a load of stress gets added to you. There’s no need to have someone in your life that ruins your day. With the poor attitude and pessimistic comments gone, you will feel more free and at ease.
Prioritize
If you’re a busy woman, chances are you are a multi-tasker and pile in as much as you can do. While you may want to be “Super Mom”, you should take a step back and reevaluate your priorities. People who live a well-balanced life don’t pack in everything in one day. Take a look at how much you try to get done in one day, or even a year, and prioritize what few things are the most important to you.
