Tender chicken breasts are rubbed with Laila Ali Spice Blends and cooked to perfection in a single pan, then simmered in a zesty lemon butter sauce that’s sure to awaken your taste buds. Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon CITRUS N’ HERB SPICE BLEND
- 1 tablespoon GARLIC GODDESS SEASONING BLEND
- 3 teaspoons SOULFUL SEASONING SALT
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup capers, drained
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Lemon slices
- Black pepper or SPICY PEPPER BLEND to taste
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or sauté pan over medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, mix together the CITRUS N’ HERB, GARLIC GODDESS, and SOULFUL SEASONING SALT. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.
- Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until cooked through and reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium and add the butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, chicken broth, and capers to the skillet. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, or until slightly reduced.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon some of the lemon-caper sauce over the top of each breast. Sprinkle on the SPICY PEPPER BLEND to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley and lemon slices.
Notes
- For a creamy version of this recipe add 1/4 cup heavy cream during step 4.
- Serve with your favorite side dishes such as roasted green beans or asparagus, mashed potatoes or a fresh green salad.
- Adjust the amount of seasoning used according to your taste preferences.
