Four Simple Steps To Finding Your Purpose

June 3, 2019

Finding a life purpose can come easy to some, but feel impossible to others. One thing to keep in mind is that your purpose in life can be as big or as little as you want it to be! You could feel the passion to find a cure for cancer, but contributing to a blood drive is surely a step in the right direction to helping those in need. Finding your life’s purpose is not a necessity, but can help you in times where you may feel like your life is missing something, whether it be a passion or an overall meaning for being on Earth. If you feel like you are in search of your life purpose, it can truly be a long journey, but these steps can help you find your way.

What Excites You?

Finding your purpose shouldn’t involve something that you don’t care for or don’t have feelings toward. Something that excites you, whether it be during the process or the end result, is certainly something you should cherish. From playing with animals at a shelter to seeing the face of a child light up after learning to tie a shoe, that feeling of excitement is powerful. When you find that feeling, take hold of it and run with it, because it doesn’t always come easy.

Surround Yourself With Positive People

Surrounding yourself with positive people can have a great impact on your life. Seeing someone that constantly works hard, has a vision, and never gives up is a great way for you to see your own success unfold before your eyes. By involving yourself in the lives of those who are positive, you will soon see a reflection of them inside of you. You may begin to think more clearly, feel passionate about something, or simply feel a bit more inspiration to fulfill your dreams and find your purpose. You may quickly realize how large of an impact people can make when you are constantly in their presence.

Explore Your Interests

Exploring your interests may help you land on the one main thing that fulfills your life purpose. If there is something you enjoy discussing with your friends, or a cause that you are interested in or passionate about but have yet explored it, take a chance! There is a wealth of information that is to be had in this world and learning more about your interests may spark something much greater inside of you that can help you find your purpose.

Dive Right In

Finding your passions and your purpose in life doesn’t come all that easy. With that, we advise you to dive right in! You can’t turn something down until you try it, right? If there is something that sparks your interest, take some time to learn more about it. Go donate or volunteer your time to the cause to see if it is truly something you enjoy doing. If you don’t really enjoy your time involving yourself into that subject, then maybe it’s just not for you. You shouldn’t feel like you have to do something because it is the right thing to do, you should do something because you want to do it and you feel joy in doing it. It’s almost like falling in love, you shouldn’t force yourself to fall in love with someone, it just simply happens.
