Chicken Basil Meatballs- As Seen on Home Made Simple

Serves: 4-6 people

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Difficulty: Easy

 

Ingredients:

2 pounds ground dark chicken or dark turkey
3 egg whites
½ onion, diced
¼ cup quinoa flour
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ground sage
1 tablespoon ground thyme
2 teaspoons sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil

 

Steps:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 F
2. In a large mixing bowl, mix all ingredients together, except olive oil
3. Use a cookie scoop or spoon to scoop the mixture and start rolling into meatballs
4. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the meatballs and cook on all sides until browned. About 45 seconds for each side
5. Transfer the meatballs to a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the oven for about 8-12 min or until the meatballs reach 165 degrees.
Note: Mixture will be sticky. Use a pair of latex powder free gloves while forming meatballs.
