If you are tired of thinning hair, seeing strands of hair constantly falling out of your head, or simply feel like your hair barely grows, you are not alone! Hair loss, hair thinning and problems growing out hair are very common issues amongst men and women alike. While there are many products on the market that claim to prevent hair loss and boost hair growth, chances are they are made with a number of chemicals that you may not want to use on the daily. Fortunately, you don’t have to fall victim to the harsh chemicals and can try your new hair growth method out using all natural ways. Here are some tried and true natural ways to boost hair growth.
Scalp Massage
Something as simple as a scalp massage can actually boost your hair growth. Massaging your scalp regularly will increase blood flow to your scalp, help strengthen your roots, and help those nutrients that your body needs get to your follicles. Try massaging your hair while it is dry (even with that cool scalp massager that tingles your body) or try it by adding in some oils to rinse out later.
Protein
Eating a balanced diet is not only optimal for your physical health, it is important for your hair as well! If you have a strict diet, chances are you are not getting as much protein as your body needs to properly grow your hair, which can even result to shedding. It is recommended to eat about 50 grams of protein a day for optimal hair growth.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil can boost hair growth thanks to the fatty acids that are stored in it. You can massage in some coconut oil as a leave-in treatment overnight or just for a few hours before washing. The fatty acids found in coconut oil will reach your hair shaft and promote hair growth.
Eliminate Stress
Stress can take a toll on your body, and that does not exclude your hair. When you have a great amount of stress you may begin to see shedding hair or even patches on your scalp. Keep your stress at a minimum as best as you can by finding time for yourself whether that means meditating or just a quick breather outside.
Silk Pillowcase
Silk pillow cases became popular when it was brought up that they are a great option for preventing wrinkles when you sleep. In fact, it is recommended to sleep with a silk pillowcase for your hair health too! Silk pillowcases give your hair a softer surface to rest on which will help prevent breakage. Other pillowcases may absorb moisture from your hair and cause it to tangle more, leading to more breakage. Less breakage and more moisture will certainly help your hair health and not delay the process of your hair growing.
Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is used for a number of hair health treatments, including hair loss. Aloe Vera can reduce dandruff and unclog hair follicles that may be clogged from extra oil. Plus, it soothes and conditions your hair. Apply pure Aloe Vera gel to your scalp a few times a week to treat hair loss and give your hair the treatment it deserves!
