This buttery rice is anything but basic. Garlic Goddess Blend brings deep, layered flavor from real roasted garlic, sweet onion, warm paprika, and fragrant herbs like sage and basil. It melts right into the butter and broth as the rice simmers, creating a rich, savory side that’s perfect with roasted chicken, salmon, or veggie mains.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups long-grain white rice (or substitute with jasmine or quinoa)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth (or water + 1 1/2 teaspoons chicken bouillon)
  • 1 tablespoon GARLIC GODDESS BLEND ADD TO CART
  • 1/2 teaspoon SPICY PEPPER BLEND ADD TO CART
  • 1/2 teaspoon SOULFUL SEASONING SALT (or regular sea salt) ADD TO CART
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain well.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the drained rice and stir frequently for 2–3 minutes, toasting lightly.
  3. Add the broth and all seasonings. Stir to evenly distribute.
  4. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 15–18 minutes, or until the liquid is absorbed.
  5. Remove from heat and let sit, covered, for 5–10 minutes to steam.
  6. Fluff with a fork and taste. Adjust seasoning if needed before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer garlic flavor, sauté a clove or two of fresh garlic in the butter before adding the rice.
  • This rice is excellent with a sprinkle of fresh parsley or chives stirred in after fluffing.
  • You can also add a handful of sautéed mushrooms or cooked peas for an easy upgrade.
