Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups long-grain white rice (or substitute with jasmine or quinoa)
  • 4 cups water (use 3 3/4 cups for firmer texture)
  • 2 tablespoons butter or 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons CITRUS ‘N HERB BLEND ADD TO CART
  • 2 teaspoons SASSY SEASONING BLEND ADD TO CART
  • 1 teaspoon SOULFUL SEASONING SALT ADD TO CART
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain well.

  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the rice, water, butter or olive oil, and all seasonings.

  3. Stir well to evenly distribute the spices.

  4. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

  5. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover tightly, and simmer for 15–18 minutes, or until the water is absorbed.

  6. Remove from heat and let sit, covered, for 5–10 minutes to steam.

  7. Fluff with a fork and taste. Adjust seasonings if desired before serving.

Notes

  • For a stronger citrus punch, add a small squeeze of fresh lemon juice just before serving.

  • Fresh herbs like parsley, dill, or basil can be folded in after cooking to brighten the dish even more.
