Celebrity Skincare Secrets

Doesn’t it seem like celebrities have the best and most glowing skin? Whether on screen or caught by the paparazzi, sometimes it’s hard to believe they are even human with their glowing, smooth, and blemish-free skin. What do they do that gets it so…perfect? We know there are extremely expensive treatments that many of them get, but not every skin problem can be solved with money. We’re here to share the secrets of the stars so that you too can have that glowing skin like the stars (without those insanely priced treatments).

With a crazy schedule of flying back and forth to projects, Bella tries to make time to get a massage to get her muscles back in check. She also makes sure to take off her makeup before going to bed. Having that makeup sit on your face while you sleep can cause your skin to breakout or even age faster! If you aren’t in the mood to completely wash your face with face wash, water, and a washcloth, we love those little makeup remover wipes that you can find at any drugstore. They save you time and they work great!

Gigi’s little pimple trick actually comes from her mom, Yolanda Hadid. If she notices a pimple on her skin before she goes to bed, she dabs a little toothpaste on the pimple and covers it with a small piece of toilet paper to trap the moisture of the toothpaste. The toilet paper creates a mold, like paper mache, and she then removes it easily in the morning with a wet towel. Overnight, your pimple will minimize and reduce in redness.

Aside from a few expensive skincare treatments, Posh Spice also claims that eating salmon is one of her top secrets to her glowing skin. Her dermatologist, Harold Lancer, told her to eat salmon every day. It is so beneficial to your skin since it is filled with Omega-3 fatty acids that help with inflammation.

Jennifer is a firm believer in the saying, “You are what you eat.” We are sure this contributes to her killer bod too! She focuses on opting out on processed foods like hamburgers and instead focuses on eating healthy salads filled with veggies and protein.

Jessica is an advocate for using masks at night, especially after flights since your skin can get so dehydrated after sitting on a plane. It’s best to rehydrate your skin to make it feel fresh and keep its elasticity. Jessica swears on using antioxidant or plumping masks. Just make sure there are no synthetic fragrances in the mask that can cause you to breakout.

Halle has found that her skin looks the best when it’s dewy. Instead of pounding on the powder, Halle sprays her face with some rosewater and lets it sink in before putting on her makeup. The rosewater makes her makeup look dewy, thus giving her a more youthful and fresh look.

Selena is not married to any product, so she likes testing out different options that make her skin feel great. But no matter what products she is trying out, her routine is always to wash, tone and moisturize in the morning. This makes her skin feel and look its best, even during the most hectic of times.

Gabrielle Union shared a little secret that she learned from her nail technician that makes your skin feel super soft — creating a homemade scrub made with sugar, eucalyptus, and oil. Aside from that, she likes to try out different products, but always has a routine of using a facial scrub or cleanser, a toner, and then an oil that she got from makeup artist Julie Hewett’s skin care line that she swears by (even for someone with oily skin).
